Puma insurance
I had the insurance renewal through on my 90 SVX this weekend and nearly choked on my toast!

It's double that of my 50th Anniversary 90 - and that was a 4 litre V8……..

Any competent but reasonably priced insurance companies out there for Puma Defenders in the UK?

Thanks. Greg

We've always used the NFU 2.4 90 XS
1968 1/32 scale Britains 109 Pick up.

I'm now with NFU too - they were never competitive with my 50th for some reason, but the best quote on diesel by some margin.

Still about £50 more than I was paying on the 50th though (but lower excess) - I figured it's a newer car, higher replacement value, etc.

Thanks for the feedback - but it's the NFU I'm with at the moment and have been for years. They have always been good as gold, but the renewal on the SVX (Station Wagon - not soft-top) is over £600!!!!! (and that's with full no claims, no convictions etc.) - other companies are quoting half that with protected no claims.

I just wondered (other than the NFU) who is good out there and isn't too dear…….. Greg

Tesco do us with very good cover and it went down to £38/m recently for the two of us. The other car is also covered under the same policy.

I previously flip-flopped between Tesco, Sainsburys, M&S and the AA - all for the 50th though.
Don't know if any of them are 'any good', as fortunately not had to test them - each time I just go with the best quote from a familiar name...
I never found any of the 'specialist' LR insurers competitive.

Have to agree with most of you, NFU for me too. At least they're mutual as well. You also get a nice welcoming voice when you phone, not some sythesized burk wanting you to press every conceivable button on the telephone first.

Not sure about the excess, but I think it's £100. £346 with a named driver (my partner) for my 2008 90 XS with the NFU.

I,m with direct line !

Best quote by a fair margin when i was phoning round trying to better the named insurers, again full NCD & nil convictions.

Annual quote was £315 and that was with the 10 Months for 12 promotion. DEFENDER XS CSW 08 TONGA GREEN
