James/Brian - many thanks to both of you for considering my wallet Bow down but as Ben says, in this instance, for speed/simplicity and peace of mind, she's with my local indy for them to investigate both the sensor and to double check the bearing too.

On the sensor, Ben did tell me that the sensor is a quick job that even I could manage and even offered to do it for me but time is not on my side this week and I'm a little paranoid about wheel bearings, so I have their battered old courtesy Freelander for the day and over to them. Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless.

I know that. hence why I said top/bottom.

Nanocom might say sensor fault but that doesnt explain the groan (as you mentioned jst)

osf ABS sensor replaced - road tested from cold and no groan or TC light/chatter Thumbs Up

Indy did comment groan could have been ABS pump but they initially were suspecting clutch from my description over the phone but then couldn't recreate the noise after she arrived with them warmed up. In the end, they kept her overnight, sorted the sensor then ran her from cold to try to re-create the conditions of the groan and she's been fine ever since.

For peace of mind, osf hub also stripped down and inspected along with cv. All fine Thumbs Up Bearings & cv regreased and new seals/gaskets fitted. Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless.
