Sorry to bring this up again but ive searched the forum trying to find out what are the LARGEST BFG mud terrain tyres I can fit to the standard boost alloy without any modification by way of spacers and suspension lift. I want to order a set today. Found all the threads rather confusing as most of the lads have done some form of modification to get big tyres to fit. If any body has a pic of the largest fitted tyre without modification it would be most appreciated. Land Rover's don't leak oil, they simply mark their territory!

285's will fit but not recommended as a minimum of 7.5inch rim is needed. 265’s no problem.

I have 265/75 on my 90 with standard suspension height, they rub on the front radius arms at full lock but look great!

just tried to order 265/75/16 but there is a 12 week wait as there are only 12 in the country and all have been reserved. I think I might have to order 8 and store 4 for future purposes. Land Rover's don't leak oil, they simply mark their territory!

Damn! That's the size I wanted to get. What's the solution for the rubbing (I'm at full lock a lot to get in and out of my drive)? If I fit spacers, will they add significant wear to the bearings or front diff? One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS + New Defender 110 First Edition |

3 point turn
![]() I think that 235/85s might be better on a 110? 0.2% difference |

or CVs assuming your offroad CV acting through greater angle etc. most people i know who have had spacers have got rid of them, problems keeping them done up - get different rims with a greater off set or adjust the nuts to stop the rubbing and live with a worse turning circle. 110s have tonnes more lock than they leave the factory with if you adjust the lock nuts.
