Did you use the fecked door as a sledge then Steve?

We had a run out to see Tim and Clare at Trek today. Sutton Bank was 'closed' so went caravan route and then some gentle greenlanes

Afterwards ice cream at Ryedales in Helmsley then afternoon tea at the Crab and Lobster Thumbs Up

Sound like a nice day out Brendan, whilst some of us were stuck in the office!

My Defender had its engine mounts cut off today in readiness for the Td5 ones going on.

So still commuting in the Range Rover. Took me 2.5 hours to get home today (normally 50 minutes) as I was stuck in the big car park called 'York' due to the A1 accident diversion. Was glad of the armchair like seats, good heater and decent audio!

Went up to Bakewell Farmers market in the 110 to stock up with grub and decent beer for the upcoming festivities. Went via Tissington ford and right in the middle the odometer clicked over 178,000 miles.

On the way back found it had snowed on the hills. Lovely Cool Dave

Just been over to Huddersfield to bring middle-son home from university for Christmas. He did not know we had bought a Defender, it was a nice suprise for him when I turned up in the TD5.

Came back via Holme Firth and over Holme Moss. It is extremely icy tonight, anyone driving over there needs to take care. We came across a Merc ML which had lost control and gone through the hedge, no injuries, just a smashed up Merc.

I'm very impressed with how the TD5 coped with the ice. It has no ABS so care is needed, but it is easily brought back under control when it does slide. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV

Of course.... My joy at rejoining the pre-steam age knew no bounds - until now!!!

http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic2032-2970.html

How WILL I cope??? 4 years of augmented HDC in the D3 with Traction Control - I'll have to use my BRAIN! Probably rusted up from lack of use. Cadence braking.... now, which pedal was that? Sad Gentle throttle - surely an oxymoron??

Still we never hit anything in twenty years of S2, 3 and 3a motoring - I guess my feet know what to do - even if the brain has gone soft... (Soft, as in cushy motoring, NOT.... oh, never mind!)

Just back home after a 3 day trip to Edinburgh. 627 miles, via Glenkincie distillery and Seahouses on East coast to a fantastic fish supplier on way home.
The new 110 went very well, but friends in the back had frozen feet!
