Improved the boats winter position with a bit of jiggling and decided on using a hand winch to launch & recover which I prefer. It saves rigging up the electrics in the Defender and the winch on the trailer is no where near adequate, it's a tiny cheap new one that the seller just put on to sell
This guy takes his to the Arctic each year I was thinking more Med if it came to it  Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

I fitted a dog guard and gun rack and then went and bought a Christmas tree. I should have bought a Christmas tree and then fitted the dog guard and gun rack. Doh!

Got it back from the dealers all nice and repainted up on the roof, really top quality work. Going back in next week though to sort, or at least identify the cause of, some squeaks, and some strange behaviour from the front axle. 2011 110 USW

Dan was it the metal, filler or just paint that had cracked on the front corner?

Drove myself and the family to Bristol. Now in a pleasant apartment in the Centre. Had to take an extra person so the BM was out of the question; also slightly concerned about hail/snow!
Very exciting announcement tomorrow for a project we are doing the comms for. Will be blanket coverage in the SW media. Very excited! Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion. |

Couldn't tell you, and to be fair I didn't ask - in any event the job they have done looks really good. 2011 110 USW 1973 Series III 1-Ton 1972 Series III 1-Ton Cherrypicker 1969 IIA 1-Ton 1966 IIA 88" |
