Tractor insurance NOW SORTED
Just after some pointers on a broker for tractor insurance please.

Everyone I have tried either insists the house is insured with them too or its part of a business agri schedule.

It's for occasional use on a small holding. 2016 vintage. Cheers

NFU but can be steep.
Have you tried the vintage tractor magazine?

Nfu won't do it as not been used as part of a business. Cheers

Hi James, I know yours isn't a vintage tractor but when I was looking to insure my vintage tractor I had a very mixed response from NFU. The NFU branches seem inconsistent, something I have noticed in the past, so if you've only tried your local branch it may be worthwhile trying another one. I thought my tractor insurance with NFU was very reasonable at £51 Defender 90XS SW

I also use Rowett for my Chinese Mahinda 254 compact tractor.
Renewal this year was £120 including road use cover.
Stand alone policy provided by KGM, effectively for hobbyist/small-holder.

I've insured the tractor through Rowett for a number of years and have always found them friendly and helpful to deal with. Never needed to claim though.

You could try a broker like A plan with a knowledge of auto industry, possibly places for things such as caravan and horsebox insurance.
If they don’t do the insurance themselves, they likely know a company that does. WeWillWin🇬🇧🇺🇸

House with Nfu and rhey said nope.

Corniche mutual wouldn't insure it unless my house was insured with them..... Cheers

A plan have never been that helpful to me in the past trying to get quotes for multi policies. Cheers

I have a 35hp smallholder tractor insured with NFU including road use for £270 at the last renewal.

I have the house insured with NFU and do not use the tractor for business. It sounds as if NFU branches vary in their approach
