They are in no way customer cars and are mules with some going to be disassembled for study and the remainder all meeting the crusher, as has been done with past models. |

Anyone got one yet as whilst I cancelled my order after seeing the preproduction cars at the launch I was told my order would have arrived late 2024! Gas, Grass Or Ass - Nobody Rides For Free

There has been at least one customer delivery in the US, occurring last Saturday I believe.
A couple of others are on their way from the port to the dealers. |

Had a short test drive today and I have a few niggles on the spec.
Car drove superbly and seems to sit slightly higher than a std Defender, sounds amazing and the steering is very much more positive. Suspension is firm but not aggressively so and as a daily driver I could certainly live with it but the kick down is not so good. I appreciate the gearbox is adaptive but being a demo I am sure it will have been driven hard so should be instant in changing down. I found even in Dynamic mode that if I was in traffic and then floored the throttle the kick down was slow at responding and resorted to using the paddles - not a great hardship! My gripes are 3 fold. Firstly the supposedly specially coated front undershield is plastic not aluminium. Secondly the rear towing hoops are a bad gold colour and would need painting. Finally the dash has been changed and my setting of Speedo on the left, trip info in the middle and rev counter on the right is not possible - the rev counter is in the middle with the Speedo display in MPH as part of the ctr display!! You can configure the display for left, middle and right but there is no option to have a separate Speedo and rev counter ![]() Was only out for about 20mins so not had a chance to test it properly and mostly dual carriageway but it did impress me but not enough to rush out to buy one.
