I did like those Elan’s in the day. A very 90’s look.

must have been the night for it yesterday......... original Triumph Acclaim, possibly a bit tatty around the edges but must be the last one !!?
then later a very clean UR Quattro burbled its way off the lights then this morning I "think" a Hillman Minx went the other direction............... |

an old Volkswagen LT 35E D van, past me coming home. Looked like it had been converted into a camper or maybe a home on wheels, as the van life thing seems to be on the up. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

I see a Ford Capri Brooklands on a regularly basis, as a local guy owns it.
But today I saw my first NEW Ford Capri, "The Legend" on the M5. Yellow with dual black stripes, on a 25 plate. |

Trouble is the new Capri looks no more like the Classic Capri than the New Defender looks like the Classic Defender.
At least the new Fiat 500 , Mini and Beatle have some essence / visible DNA linking them to their classic parents. |

They say things come along in 3's . . . .
On Monday on the way home from work, i spotted a Saab 93 estate in silver on a 07 plate, it looked a minter. On Tuesday on the way home in the same place, i thought i saw the same Saab estate coming towards from yesterday, but no, this one was on a 06 plate and also a minter, then on Wednesday at a different place on the way home i saw another silver estate, this one was on a 08 plate ![]() ![]() 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. That sounds very spooky Clayton (cue the Twilight Zone music…).
What are the chances of that! |

The last couple of days I’ve seen a lovely red Subaru SVX in and around Minehead, haven’t managed to get a pic yet but hopefully I’ll get a chance when I see it again

I regularly see a MK3 fiesta and a couple of Hillman's floating around by us.
Spotted the driver in a car park once and stopped to chat to him and he confirmed he owns all of them. Doesnt believe in modern cars, to difficult to fix and his little 1100cc fiesta has been round the clock twice already and costs him buttons to run. I think he might be on to something 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone 2002 - Black Discovery II - Gone 2014 - Montalcino Red 110 XS SW |
