Still think the NK blanket is the best. Fitted in 5 minutes with no fettling. I took mine off for a couple of weeks just to see if it wasn't just me and boy did I notice the difference. Quite incredible especially on long journeys Thumbs Up

Found a 2.2 acoustic cover on ebay for £12, so I have bought it.

Worth a go at that price.

Will give it a go, and report back Smile Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)

Martin, I look forward to your first impressions. I haven't had time to mess with it since my last post...cover is sitting in the garage. cheers.

Hi all

My last Puma 2.4 came fitted with a 2.2 engine cover. I was none the wiser until I put a photo of the engine up on here and another forum member asked why I had a 2.2 cover on a 2.4 engine.

I then removed the cover and drove around for a couple of days and noticed that there was definitely an increase in engine noise.

From what I could see no modifications had been made to the 2.2 cover but it still fitted adequately so I just left it.

Yes, I can confirm 100% that a 2.2 engine cover will fit a 2.4 Puma engine.

Blimey! I've just seen the date on these posts. Sorry, I guess that most on here now know that a 2.2 cover will fit a 2.4....

Its very early in the morning where I am... Embarassed
