Which Way Do Rope Hooks Go?
Part way on my 110 soft top build, and I am not sure which way the front rope hooks go. Do any members have a factory soft top and can advise me? Rivets near the door or not.

On my S111 it is pin closest to the door (i.e. rivets to the rear) so assume it would be the same on a 110.

Now I should add I have no idea if mine was a soft top from the factory, but the hood (both the one it came with and its later replacement from Exmoor Trim) fits fine so I think it is correct.

On my factory 110 rag top the hook goes closest to the door shut - as per this pic on the Series 3 ^

It would make sense to have the pin to the door as I guess you can get the canvas more taught🤷 JE Zulu 110 now sold

I have a 1984 factory, civilian soft-top Ninety.

(These were only available from the factory under special order - most you see are later conversions or ex-military).

I don't know if One Ten/110 soft tops were the same, but the photos might help.

The JLR parts diagram (item no.12) seems to show it is hook towards the door.

That's interesting, as mine was factory fitted.

I notice that in the photo above, there is no curved scallop at the bottom of the front edge. It just goes straight down, unlike mine.

But there's no accounting for Land Rover!
