![]() Click image to enlarge Saw x3 2002's fly past the other weekend, all looked pristine, silver yellow and orange. Spotted this one, I think for my taste smaller rims and clear non-tinted glass would make this one look 100%. |

I was behind a VW camper van on a G plate, you could smell the petrol fumes from it. Might have been running a little rich. Looked like it had been restored. Sky blue and white it was, i thought that's money. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

I think there are more spare parts for those than there are cars, when i was messing around with rover metros, the 200 coupe boys couldn't shift the cars at all, but parts wise you were laughing. The T series can be tuned quite nicely too ![]() In the words of my Good Friend, Gary Forrest 1980 -2025 " we will work something out" |

Had a Rover 200 pull in front of me today. I double took it because I really didn’t know to start with what it was. This one was a Mk1 (if that’s a thing?) The four door saloon car version that shared its shape with the Honda Ballade. It was on a G plate. Can’t be many left now?
I agree Procta, Rover parts must be getting really difficult these days. |

yeah that will be the mk1, those early rovers have got to be very, very rare. The mk 2 ( K series wedge, tom cat era,) are probably more common.
The metro side of things Rashers, some parts for the later mpi models were NA, this was 10 years ago, so id hate to see what spares are like for the older SPI and carb now and those were more common, The bigger rovers some of the bits for those are NA too, the 75 wishbones or something are long those lines are NA, the rover 45 i think their club have got the jacking points or something remanufactured again. The later MG Rover face lifted parts you couldn't get hold of at the time, due to rover not making much back stock. Which is why you will see some of the later face lifts with out a front end in yards. If you were to restore a rover of any model, i recon you will be using a couple of donor cars, if me and my dad were to do another VVC metro build again, i would be using more than 3 cars i can tell you that, and finding parts would be a nightmare and a half for metro performance bits. It was a right pain back in 2008 ![]() In the words of my Good Friend, Gary Forrest 1980 -2025 " we will work something out" |
