Dont have the answer to your question, but there is a company out there that will up (or I suppose down) rate the load capacity of a vehicle, although by how much depends on the vehicle in question.

Some Defender variants with HD rear suspension had a 3500kg GVW rather than the standard 3050kg.
I've never really understood that 3050 figure and have often wondered if it was due to a typo on the TA paperwork! Last time I weighed mine in its usual running configuration it was 2700kg, with 1400kg on the front axle and 1300kg on the rear. It is however not exactly standard. |
