Mine now has all the mod cons - as well as 4 wheels, and engine, some seats, it now has a working ignition!!

For the last week have felt like a dodgy tea leaf "hotwiring" it.

Fortunately did not get stopped by Strathclyde's finest (not that I was doing anything that would require me being stopped!!!) - would have felt a bit strange trying to explain why the ignition was in bits in the rear, and the keys were in the cubby whilst the engine was running. 2001 TD5 110 DCPU in Bonatti Grey

I with the help or Bpman fitted an entreq fuel cooler guard and the new safari equip single swing are wheel carrier!

Yes lots of photos have been take as we went, the wheel carrier really was a 2 man job, would have managed but really struggled with out a second pair of hand. But due to the height cant se much out the rear window these days.

The entreq guard could have been a 1 man struggle but far easier with a second pair of have Thumbs Up

Really! It's your choice, just pics or pics with guide as neither come with fitting instruction.

like BigRuss says, helped fit the entreq fuel cooler guard - it will protect the fuel cooler and the oil filter housing, photos being prepared, fitted safari wheel carrier, quality bit of kit - really really nice.

The fuelcooler guard pretty much blocks the oil drain sump plug. When it comes to an oil change, the guard needs to be removed (8 nuts and bolts). I'm pretty lazy and like to make it easy for myself so I am taking a slightly different approach to fitting mine, I am going to try and get approval from my dealer and fit an OEC oil drain plug (same as DGardel's), this allows a oil drain tube to be fitted that will clear the guard, that way once fitted i won't need to remove it.

This morning, I fitted a pair of 110-rear mudflap reinforcement brackets from Entreq took 15 mins per side.

This weekend we did some green lanes in Derbyshire. A small event arranged by another forum Embarassed

One of the lanes we did was Chertpit Lane Great Longstone in Derbyshire.

Yes the PDNP have placed respect code post at either end of the lane.

Yes the local council have cut back the trees.

YES we drove it this week end and despite the recent rain the lane was not muddy. The lane had a solid surface, yes it was narrow in places. Is the lane sustainable for 4x4 motor vehicle use? In my opinion yes. OK it might be argued I am biased as I drive Land Rovers.

One of the vocal objectors lives on Moor Road. Guess which road you have to drive down into Great Longstone?

How busy is Chertpit Lane?

Quote:

Therefore, on average 90 motorbikes and 21 other vehicles use each route at weekends
per month; on average between 1 and 2 motorbikes an hour and one other vehicle every 3 hours
at weekends (11 motorbikes and 3 other vehicles per day).

The official view on the state of Chertpit Lane can be found HERE

Now if you look at the OS map there are opencast workings just off Chertpit Lane. Alook on google earth shows that these opencast workings are disused.

What is not show on the OS map just about 400m SSE OF LONGSTONE MOOR FARM is a working opencast mine. to the west of Moor Road. The OS map does show opencast working to the east of Moor Road called High Rake.

NOW who lives on Moor Road?

So do I detect a hidden agenda here?
