United Kingdom 1999 Defender 110 Td5 SW Caledonian Blue
As part of the MSUK (Motorsport UK) requirements for having a MSUK call sign/radio, the radio needs to be certified every 5 years to make sure its still in spec etc.
For me, this means taking up carpets and removing wires so the radio can be sent off as my radio is remote mounted (the radio display is up front and the radio body under the rear seat)

Removal was OK. But during the refit I decided a tidy up of the wiring was needed. The wires ran along the side of the seat and cubby box and then under the carpets. The excess wires being bundled up by the side of the seat. With the carpets up time for a shake and a hoover of the rear under the seats etc.
Wires now run in split conduit to keep them the tidy

Both front seats removed and hoovered out underneath and removal of all those crumbs and other crud which get down the sides.

Removed the seat riser rails
Removed un-needed/unused/old power feed cables.
Re-assembled. Much tidier now. 1999 Defender TD5 110

There’s definitely significant movement between the two halves of the top hinge when you lift the bottom of the door, and I’m going to whip the spare wheel off the door to ease the stress on it until it’s sorted, so I’ll double check the carrier whilst I’m at it.

Thanks for the suggestion 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone

Added corner protectors. Dead simple.
I preferred the smaller ones but they don’t cover the rips, so I installed these larger ones. 2002 td5 90 county hardtop

It’s a shame the rubber matting of that type (I have the same) isn’t more robust on the corners and edges.
Especially considering the high cost of them really, on the flat areas it’s good but gets weak on the corners and edges and sort of delaminates. WeWillWin🇬🇧🇺🇸

Just be careful with the corner protectors as the top corner will mark your door card Rolling Eyes Clayton.

Fitted the new tailgate hinges

Turns out the top hinge was worse than a little play in it…
