Installation of Mudstuff Transmission Tunnel Matting?
Has anybody installed one of these in a 2.4 TDCI?

https://www.mudstuff.co.uk/collections/car...tunnel-mat

I'm about to install mine, but I cannot believe the heater assemble needs to be removed to install? I cannot find any installation information and there is nothing on YT. There are for other Defenders but not the 2.4?

Any ideas?

Thanks
John

Wright off road kit.

No instructions came with mine I fitted it without taking heater unit out. Was a while ago, design may have changed. It's a two person job. Cheers

Yes that’s the one. Can you remember if you cut the tunnel to slip around the back of the heater box? This makes the most sense to me, as there is a score mark on the tunnel mat. Just wanted to see if anyone else had done this.

it was a while ago but i dont believe i cut it. took gaiters off though. needs two people so thin bits dont rip. keep it warm prior to fitting too. well worth the effort. cant check mine as its under an auto console now. Cheers

I would suggest giving Drew Wright a call to ask about fiting if it is one of his kits being resold. He was very helpful to me when I bought one for my defender.

I cut mine also as i realized after I had fitted the heater box and no way was I removing again, to be honest it also leave it easier to move it around later as I have had to do to install more sound deadening

Yes that makes sense, as it would be nice to be able to remove it easily for access to the gearbox etc. if needed. Thanks Thumbs Up
