I had a similar issue; my fob, same style as the above images (2 button with chrome slide) the rear panel had stared to disintegrate and the chrome slide had numerous dents and scratches in it.
The helpful local dealer (Hendy in Salisbury) were able to find the rear cover and sealing gasket by using them from a LR078922 kit (~£9.50+VAT) that contains the 5 button face as well, the sealing gasket & rear plate (Glossy with a sliver LR logo ![]() The reason I had to cannibalise the kit was that the 2 Button face is no longer available according to the dealership on it’s own only as a complete. The chrome slide is about £55 + VAT from memory. ![]() I later required a third key and as a complete item it is available, front, back, gasket, chrome, circuit board and battery, as a complete without programming it’s £121 + VAT (OUCH) and needs to be pre ordered from LR ![]() www.DefencePhotos.com 2014 Defender 110 Utility, 2.2 Puma, Indus Silver Not just transport more like a religion |

Thanks, that seems to confirm my fear that the 2 button case isn't available as a repair kit.
![]() They're obviously not very durable, and it doesn't look good for long term if they need regular replacement. Nice one Landrover. |

ive recently bought two of these key casings. They are fine except there are two small pins on which the internal pcb is mounted. These pins came out still attached to the pcb when it was removed from the old shell. As such I couldnt get the pcb to sit properly within the new key casing. I just broke the pins off on the new shell and fitted in the new pcb. The pcb is effectively ‘loose’ within the shell but doesnt have room to move as such. The buttons align and it works just fine. |

That’s for the Lucas fobs, not the Lear fobs for the 2014-2016 defender.

As I said in a post about these a few weeks ago I’m pretty sure Ian at IRB developments does these and maybe BAS too.
