Hi
Clearsight is displayed on your windscreen's rear view mirror, from a camera in the "sharks fin" on the roof, the display you show is from the door mirror, front and rear bumper cameras, and computer generated / interpolated images from such cameras. The view, of which you can select from touching the camera on the left screen to give the picture on the right, Regards Jonathan |

Oh I thought it was all called clear sight. In any regards does anybody also similar occurrence that the image around the car is grayed out like that? I was trying to determine if that's normal or camera issue.

Does the problem occur when you're driving, or only when you first jump in the car?
Could it be as simple as the fact that the cameras aren't actually able to see the greyed out sections - the clever software augments the images it's recorded and projects them 'underneath' the vehicle. When you're moving this is fine, the camera has records of the ground images which it can then augment beneath the vehicle. But when you first switch the vehicle on, the cameras don't have a record of what's now underneath the vehicle, it can't guess what the ground looks like, so you get a greyed out section..? If this happens whilst driving slowly, then it's some sort of software glitch.. if it's only when stationary, I think that's inherent to the design of the software. |

That makes a lot of sense on start up. When I start to drive it becomes blurry, but not greyed out like that. Almost like looking through a frost window. It's not greyed but it's blurry you can't see anything.

Mine looks like you describe when the front camera is dirty (which is a permanent feature this time of year!). The side (mirror) cams are out the way so remain relatively clear whilst the rear camera has a cleaning nozzle. So you can end up with crisp images for 270 degrees and a fuzzy forward image..
Maybe give the front camera a squirt of water and a wipe with a soft towel / (some spit and your sleeve!) |

To confirm; I tested this morning and when moving the blank area shown is filled with an augmented image of what's beneath the vehicle.
As you come to a stop, the camera system stops filling in the gap and the blank area you identified comes into view. When you move off again, the feed from the camera is reinstated. |

That looks like mud on the cameras to me. |
