Very good point - for all of us owners, in a round-about way, financially, this is a plus. |

For folks buying these things, 60k clearly isn't a problem. |

Okay... I've gotta say if you think the Bronco is as nice to drive on-road as an L405, you either had one messed up L405 or... that explains everything. ![]() Sorry, being facetious, but I really have a hard time relating to that statement. I've spent considerable time behind the wheels of Broncos, Rangers (same thing) and nearly every later model LR (as well as numerous earlier ones). I can not understand this statement. Yes, on a smooth road with gradual curves I don't feel terribly much difference between my daughter's Freelander 1 and my RRs or L663. But if the road gets bad and conditions become worse, the difference is HUGE. I just spent about 3500km's behind the wheel of a Ranger on washboard roads in Namibia. I LONGED for an L663. ![]() RRC 2Dr, RRC 4Dr, P38, and 2 L322s, 2 FL1s and a L663 on the way |

I agree ^ Bronco drives like absolute
![]() If anyone genuinely thinks a Bronco Raptor has better ride quality and driving dynamics than any D7 platform JLR product is smoking the wackiest drugs imaginable. I've never heard such nonsense. 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟏𝟎 𝐒 𝐏𝟑𝟎𝟎 (Pangea Green over Acorn/Lunar) 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐒 (Dolomite Silver over Black/Bordeaux Red) 𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟕 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐇𝐒𝐄 𝐋𝐮𝐱𝐮𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐢𝟔 (Aintree Green over Vintage Tan/Ebony) - Gone 𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟏 𝐋𝐑𝟒 𝐇𝐒𝐄 𝟓.𝟎 (Ipanema Sand over Almond/Arabica) - Gone |

The proper Raptor (Ford) is really good, the defender has a bit more in some areas and is a bit more for it...it can also tow more
But granted a different price to the octa Mike |

A bit rude, don't you think? I apologise for having a different opinion from yours. |

This ozzie journalist puts everything into perspective. A couple of quotes: "It's like a Ranger Raptor on steroids" "...what's most impressive about the Octa is the wide range of areas where it excels. Along with having a 3.5t braked towing capacity and a big payload, you've got supercar levels of straight line performance and impressive handling. But when you get off-road, this thing really does shine. You've got Raptor levels of performance and fun here, albeit with significantly more power available..." "...plus our driving showed that this Defender Octa will, in low range, also crawl like a Wrangler Rubicon..." There's no doubt that the Bronco Raptor is a cool vehicle. But there is a reason the Octa costs 100k more. And it shows. ![]() RRC 2Dr, RRC 4Dr, P38, and 2 L322s, 2 FL1s and a L663 on the way |

![]() Click image to enlarge whilst off-roading at speed Aussie jurno drives with his thumbs inside the wheel. he hasn't broken his had yet ? Now, what this Octa reminds me of is the 80's Ford Capri, in its offering. you could buy a budget 1.3 base model all the way up to a Tickford fully kitted model. The variance in price is not obvious to people who can not see the difference between an 'Edition One' Defender 'S' model and the Octa launched model. I don't see why anyone would pay that di££erence, or di$$erence. |
