Just to add the new Egr valve and cooler was fitted and run before the HG was changed. It didn’t throw any faults.

id start by going round the engine and disconnecting all the sensor / actuator connectors. maybe even check the codes as you do it..clear and retry at each one..many will share the 5v supply and ground and a fault on the wiring on one could pull others down...if you haven't already done this..

Follow the harness through the engine compartment and see if it is trapped, damaged, rubbing, etc.

Have you plugged in the 6-pin throttle body connector, easily missed?
The P0487 code relates to the throttle body. ![]() ![]() |

Completely missed the throttle body. Many thanks . You are a lifesaver. All faults cleared.
