Rear tub weight?
Hi All,

Just wondered if anyone had either weighed or lifted their rear tub (standard 130 hicap tub) without a telehandler/forklift etc.

Mines now at the stage of needing to come off for some MOT repairs to the brackets/crossmember etc and wondering how many people I need to find to help lift it Wink

Thanks all

Two people can lift a SWB or LWB tub without difficulty (it isn't heavy, just unwieldy) and I can't imagine that a 130 hi-cap tub is significantly different.

It took 3 of us to lift a 110 Utility tub on but 4 to loft it off with storage lockers and shutters in place so I'd think you'd be ok with 3 to 4 people depends on strength. Finding something suitable to hold onto is the hardest part 110 Td5 Ex Utilities slowly converting into a pop top camper one day

Storage lockers, shutters, and presumably a roof structure will add very considerably to the mass. My impression from the OPs question is that he is just removing a standard rear buck.

Sorry black wolf should of worded it better with sides shutters and lockers in took 4 of us but took 3 of us to get the bare tub back on. Not sure of the weight of a 130 tub so just giving an insight though I do really fancy a 130 one day 110 Td5 Ex Utilities slowly converting into a pop top camper one day

I believe the Tub = 125kg, I suggest you remove the tail gate first to reduce the weight a bit 130 Puma HCPU with an Artica 240LR Demountable Camper
