Sure. I was just trying to highlight the difference between the 1st and final type seal "generation". Puma 110" SW

Here is a video on pump disassembly. You first need to measure how far the pulley is pressed onto the shaft before taking it apart. You absolutely, 100%, need a press.

Just to comment on this, contrary to what the guy is doing in the video, you should not separate the pulley from the shaft as on reassembly you will have serious difficulties to position the pulley exactly in the same position even if you take necessary measurements beforehand. It is much easier to separate the inner part from the shaft as it sits on the part of the shaft with a smaller diameter, so no measurement required on reassembly.

Following picture (not mine though) can help to understand what I'm trying to explain:

Just changed the seal on mine this afternoon. Decided to attempt to change the seal this time as changing the pump is a bit of a hit and miss with the latest pump being a genuine one and failing after only 3 months of service.

Well, the seal that came out was a single lip seal and I replaced it with a double lip one, as suggested by another forum member here https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic62443.html
I also followed the advice to go for a double lip FKM - FPM - VitonĀ® seal with an internal stainless steel spring instead of standard Nitrile (NBR) seal.

New seal: OD 32mm, ID 20mm, thickness 7mm, double lip
Sorry in french, but this is the one that went in : https://www.123roulement.com/joint-etanche...0x32x7-fpm

Let's see how long this keeps the oil inside Laughing
