Hi, I just tried to do this but can‘t get past step 3 unclip relay base :-/
I tried to lift the tab the screwdriver point to in picture 2. I also tried to push it down, but it wont move in that direction.
I didn‘t want to apply too much force and have no mental picture of how the base is held in place.

It's much easier to bend the spade pin of the relay at 90° (or even cut it off) so it doesn't enter the relay socket than it is to mess about with the socket.

You're probably right blackwolf. I have a .99 relay somewhere anyway, so I think I'll give it a try cutting off the pin.

I just folded the pin flat against the base of the relay, easier than cutting. It is literally a sub-sixty-second modification and a huge improvement.

Thanks for pointing out the simplest solution Smile I finally got round to install the 99 relay and it's great, even without modifications. short press - single wipe Thumbs Up

It's the one that industry calls "T", Land-Rover calls C0303R-6, and is the one in the top right of your photo.

If you just bend it flat it will have the same effect, can't touch anything, but (probably) allows you to change your mine at least once.
