Weird response. I never suggested the GVW be increased, I merely thought it odd that the removal of some components has not resulted in an increased payload through reduced unladen weight.
I can only guess that the amount was not enough to take it over the threshold of being worth the hassle of re-certification etc. at the new weight. |

I have a price list for Mini vans and pick ups from 1962, if you wanted a passenger seat it was an extra £7 10s0d and if you also wanted a heater that was £13 17s6d extra Cheers Ian -------------------- 22MY Defender 110 D200 SE, Fuji White. Kielder 4x4 Safari Instagram @defender_v8 |

My Mum had a Mini Van (1972). It had the luxury of a heater and a passenger seat but driver and passenger seat were not fixed to the ground on four points. They hinged at the front and if you didn’t wear a seatbelt and braked sharply, the seat lifted up.
As kids we would often ride in the back drawing on the condensation on the metal. No one died. Just as well we were never involved in an accident I suppose. |

Don't grief - just buy yourself a sailboat. You won't even need a licence. |
