That is not what I asked!
Does the rattle stop if (a) you are moving, (b) you are rattling, and (c) you apply the brakes?
If so, it will be the brake bads. If not, it won't be the brake pads!

Assuming this is a reasonable test... unfortunately no difference. I think next step is to start removing trim from the rear to ensure it's not something knocking/rubbing the body.
