Puma 2.2 Door Locks Etc

This morning I popped the old girl on. Lumpy start due to Glowplugs 1 and 3 not working. I digress... I whacked the heater on, started de-icing (outside ice first). Didn't get around to the interior ice because the the driver's door button to regain entry, locked all the doors.

Oopsy.

Went off to do the rounds leaving the running, locked Landy.

Returned to attempt a break-in. As you do... (No spare).

Gained entry. Less said the better.

I really need to replace the lock barrel(s) and need a spare and probably a coded spare fob too.

Naturally I have oodles of additional security features as it has been known that some locks can be quite 'flexible' with which keys they allow.

Of course the alarm would sound but I am wondering what is required to ensure cold/damp doesn't cause this locking issue again. 2001 Defender Special Vehicles TD5 Hardtop (Ex Scottish & Southern) Side Lockers, Side Hatches - Poorly chassis and bulkhead. (SORNd)

Dry the locks. Or prewarm a key to insert to manipulating lock after unlocking with remote. Unlocking on remote and locks bouncing shut again is common in the cold Cheers

Cheers. Another 'Landy Special.

How much rotation should their be in one of those door locks? I only have Driver and Rear barrels on the Utility so I should replace both and I imagine the ignition. 2001 Defender Special Vehicles TD5 Hardtop (Ex Scottish & Southern) Side Lockers, Side Hatches - Poorly chassis and bulkhead. (SORNd)
