Ian,
Did you get the dash out in 15mins? My wiper motor has started to click. Not all the time but once running in consistent rain for 20 mins it begins .... my experience is that'll be the motor on its way. 1951 80" S1 2.0 1995 110 300TDI 1995 90 300TDI |

Ah mine also has an intermittent click (or clack). Usually worse when its only light rain, I presume because there's a little more resistance on the wiper.
When you say motor is on the way out, do you mean similar to yours with the worn circlip or should I be ordering a new mechanism before I take the dash out? |

No dramas regarding the dash, Are you sure it’s the motor making the noise, or slack in the wheel boxes? Clack clack clack..... I guess wiper issues will be quite a thing on here what with all the rain we're getting! 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

Ok, I have another wiper issue and posting here to keep wiper things together, may work may not!
2016 110 xs. Front wiper arms, both do the same, they move to proper full sweep position, move back 20mm and then stop. Wiper stalk position changes have no impact and make no change. Turn wipers off, no difference. The wiper motor continues to run constantly until you manually move an arm by hand back to start position. Motor then stops, presumably park switch pushed. I am thinking its the motor shaft output that needs looking at? Cheers James 110 2012 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |

Could it be as simple as the rod into the motor isint connected, so it's pushed put and can't be pulled back in, or the locating hole has worn? Cheers

It could be. I have had the pin that connects the gearbox to the rack shear off before. 1995 Defender 110 CSW
