But why would you want that? Conventional cable has the earth/neutral around the outside anyway. 2011 110 USW 1973 Series III 1-Ton 1972 Series III 1-Ton Cherrypicker 1969 IIA 1-Ton 1966 IIA 88" |

Do you mean you have run SWA up a pole? Thats a definate no-no. How would it be connected to an overhead system? or do you mean it is SWA from the fuse board onwards. I can see why some folks would spec SWA for a private network (I assume that what you are working on) but as I said in my other post, conventional cable has the earth/neutral on the outside anyway, which is safer than the old cloth stuff with twin cores. A lot of old underground cable used to have steel armour around it anyway, was very heavy and hard to cut. 2011 110 USW 1973 Series III 1-Ton 1972 Series III 1-Ton Cherrypicker 1969 IIA 1-Ton 1966 IIA 88" |

Didn't drive the Defender, in fact only went into it to get my ipod out to load up some songs. Its being swapped for a mini at the weekend anyway (the Landrover, not the ipod). Other than that, had a nice chat about electric cables... 2011 110 USW

Called in at the garage yesterday to see if they could book me in for MoT before the 20th, went in this morning and passed Just need to put some new pads on the back soon, I've got some in the garage somewhere so no probs. It's nice to know the old girl is OK especially as all I did yesterday was just checked to see that all the lights worked, pretty much all I've done all year
It's going to really chuck it's toys out of the pram now and seriously break down |

as is becoming usual these days after heavy rain I removed the mat, popped the 2 press studs, removed the carpet from the drivers footwell in order to mop up the rain and then folded over the insulation on the side of the bulkead in order to dry that out too (the metal bracket holding that on is just left permanently off these days). You just wouldn't put up with this kind of crap with any other car would you

Got back from a great mid week break with Forest Holidays in the Forest of Dean (Wye Valley) great place to stay and Cycle, Walk or tour. The landy is now upto 3500 miles. and this is the first time its been in the rain and boy we had some serious rain but no leaks so far.
Im always amazed by the magical tours my sat nav takes me on if I enter shortest route and unpaved roads, took me 2 hours to get from Cardiff to Colford down some very interesting and narrow country roads just a shame it was too dark to appriciate them. When we got home I spent over an hour jet washing all the crap off that had collected underneath before I tucked it back up in the garage, so glad I Dinitrolled it before it ever got wet. Only 2 negative for the week, 1 I should have left the Black berry at home so I could ignore work 2 the dogs previously broken leg was playing up and Im now £110 lighter after a visit to the vet and having read the small print on his insurance I have to pay the first £70 wonder what I pay £42 per month for. One of the most noticable things about a few days just using the Landy is how wonderful the BM feels when you next drive it especially the engine the gear change and the handling DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS, I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy |

Due to the starter motor packing up (spitting the dummy), I got into mine this morning to steer whilst it was being winched backwards, then pushed forwards down the drive into the spot where it will be parked whilst it gets its transplant.
Not the most illustrious way for it to end its V8 era |
