I had mine activated as well. You need to be really quick to grab it. Or, park on a slight descent, and it gravity will open it up. 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟏𝟎 𝐒 𝐏𝟑𝟎𝟎 (Pangea Green over Acorn/Lunar)

I have a very early model. When I press the key fob, 'open tailgate' it releases the lock, then you have to pull the handle - door then opens. NO other doors or activation of vehicle systems happen.
Then when you shut the door the amber lamps flash and the door is locked. Point of note - the back door has soft close, although that should not matter. My vehicle has not been modified with a GAP Tool |

Correct - that is how mine used to be before I activated the tailgate to release. It still only unlocks/releases the tailgate and locks automatically when shut. But when you activate the tailgate to release, it pops the door open, and if you don't grab it quickly enough, the soft close catches it and closes it. 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟏𝟎 𝐒 𝐏𝟑𝟎𝟎 (Pangea Green over Acorn/Lunar)

I was hoping that it would allow the taildoor to open further as it would help allow someone to have access without unlocking all doors. Sounds like it really isn't any diffferent than unlocking it and opening or opening by pressing the button on the handle.
Wishful thinking... Last edited by Chris_P on 16th Dec 2024 7:51pm. Edited 1 time in total |

I activated mine with soft close. It unlocks and opens slightly, but it does not close on soft close until I close it.

You can adjust the 2 Rubber round bump stops, this allows the rear door to pop open. No Mud flaps for my 90.!

I have activated mine using the Gap tool. Mine opens about an inch and stays open.
MultiCAN-770 Remote Release Tailgate Enabled This will make the rear door pop open when you press the button on the key fob |

Well it looks like mine now will ajar just enough to not self close. I wonder if it has anything to do with the vehicle needing to go through a few shut down cycles to get right but works like it should.

Does anyone have a remedy to pop the door out of grasp of the soft close feature, so that it stays open?
Adjust the rubber bumpstops anti clockwise a little bit till it works.
