Defender 110 - True Height In Car Park at Gatwick South
I’m travelling to Gatwick South (Short Stay - Valet) and the car park says 2m max
In my car it says 1970 as the height dim

So that i don’t look like an idiot on the day can i ask if anyone’s been to the car park and whether it was ok (or should i book another quickly?)

I’ve seen some pics online, but can’t be sure that they are the same car park

It would be nice to hear from anyone who’s actually been

Thanks

I was in Gatwick south a few weeks back - the valet parking appeared to be in one of the multi-storey car parks (there's 4 or so, identified by colour).

I'm not sure on the height restriction (I wasn't in the Landy), but the spiral ramp to change between floors is *very* tight - with a 110 with a big turning circle it could be a challenge.. I'd probably put it in the long stay parking...

I would not go into a car park that quoted such a low max height. Human error plays a big role in these things and even if the max height is correct for the car park when originally built , including when going up slopes etc. People can subsequently fit items to the ceilings, or ceiling fittings can drop, and if your defender height is correct ( seems low to me) then you only have 30mm to play with !!
For me the risk is too high, “ Act in haste, repent at leisure” .

You shall be fine. Lower the suspension and you’ll get more top clearance. Usually parking quote 2mt but it’s 2.05 mt. If something goes wrong it’s on them…

When you lower it, how much lower does it go?
