Evening all.
As per the subject, I’ve got some electrical gremlins I want to sort out. My right headlight (LED with halo daytime running light that comes on when the side lights are switched on), is currently yellow rather than bright white on the halo setting, and then projecting at funny angles on the main (not full beam), almost as if the light isn’t fully working. In addition, when I indicate right whilst on side lights, no problem. When I indicate right on main/full beam, doesn’t work at all. And when I first switch on side/full beam, there’s a flicker on the dash board on the turn signal indicator. And finally, my horn seems very dull sounding. Not a clear toot. In fact dull enough that some people don’t hear it. This all sounds like wiring/power problem to me. I am a complete dunce when it comes to electrical stuff. What should I be looking for? And where? Dodgy wiring? Crossed wiring? Frayed wiring? Some servo or fuse problem? Etc etc Help, as always, appreciated Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

Thank you all. Seemed to have occurred after the gearbox was removed, so could be the one. Monsieur Le Grenadier

That’s likely to be one of those two ground points then, by the time the trans goes back in fatigue sets in. And the grounds are often just nipped up or finger tight which causes issues.
Not guaranteed but you never know, it’s a common scenario. No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

Given we put the gearbox and TC back in, then had to remove them all again because the slave was faulty/leaking, we were most definitely ‘fatigued’. Monsieur Le Grenadier

I recently replaced the main lighting switch and left hand stalk (horn/dip/indicators) on my Td5 because the lights occasionally flickered, headlights (H4) are much brighter now - must have been on the way out for some time

Thanks Revd. The main light switch is new (to me) so less than 8 years old, but the indicator stalk is original. Might give it a look if the earth doesn’t change things. Monsieur Le Grenadier
