Same dilemma as you, I have an optioned up D350 hse 110 in Carpathian due in March. When I placed the order in October the V8s were deprecating slowly, now the Octa starts at 140k without the character of the supercharged V8 (and has bags of character in my Ftype). I'm.tempted by the V8 for uniqueness and they are disappearing quickly off autotrader.
A dealer told me the D350 should hold more value than the D250 as there's not a lot of D350s being sold due to the 4k difference in.price compared to the D250, whether that's true or not remains to be seen.

What is true is that a cared for low miles V8 will be sought after now and in the future.

The only way to determine it is to drive a V8 and see if the character of the engine sways it for you over the D350.

I optioned a 250 for that exact reason. I have no need for the extra HP for a 350 nor a V8 and the 250 is plenty for me, and I suspect, many people.

Nobody needs a V8 but if we are being honest nobody actually needs a new Land Rover Defender. They are ‘lifestyle’ cars and not bought out of necessity. They are bought because people want them. In which case if the budget allows, choosing anything other than a V8 would frankly seem ridiculous. WARNING.

I don't disagree but where do you stop. All we really need is reproduce/drink/food/shelter (in that order)

On the other hand you only have so many years on this earth and if you have the money why not? It would be waste passing it on your kids.

Thinking again! Shocked

The last of the P525's, i suppose they would hold more value than the newer P425?
i have noticed the price of them has increased since they ceased production, the quandary!

Do i order a new D350 and keep for a few years?
Do i buy a used P525 and see how the values hold up?
or go for a nearly new Range Rover? same sort of money.

So, are you saying that the 525 is ending production,..do you know when, I didn't know that, No mention of this in Aussie.
