So I was staring at my Landrover the other day (like you do) and was thinking how annoying it is that mud/water from the front of the rear wheel on my 110 sprays on the end of my tubular side steps. I can see how they are prone to rust on the ends. I have the Gwyn Lewis Mud Shields installed which helps but the ends are still exposed. So I went to my shed to see what I had on hand and decided to make up a short rubber flap from the rubber bed liner I took out of the defender.
Now I have just enough to keep the worst of the spray from ending up on the side step ends. Hopefully It will make them last that little bit longer! Pieces of rubber matting always seem to work really well at keeping off the mud. It’s bound to help. 1983 110 automatic OM606

Not in the Defender but we were in one of my brother’s Disco’s assisting the local Motorsport club on their Christmas Stages…..

I've not been to Croft. But have ticked off Cadwell/Oulton Park/Mallory/Silverstone/Anglesey.

Nope not me in the 110. If its the one I think it is, its got an external cage and a crane in the back.

Had great service recently from Gwyn Lewis 4x4, I needed some parts in a hurry and I had them next day in my hands, ready to fit before the end of the week.
You cannot beat that these days!
