A picture would help.
But. Are you talking about a rear passenger door, or a rear / back / boot door? You say a Tdci door. Is your vehicle a Tdci? |

Sorry Andy, I'll get a photo tonight.
Also sorry the back door its on a 90. Its a tdci door on a 300tdi tub and sides panels. Shane |

I had the same issue fitting a tdci door to my 200tdi tub. I had to open the hinge holes a bit to move it over and take some off both sides off the latch to make the whole thing thinner.
I am sure there is probably some rational explanation as to why it happened but that was my solution. |

On the production line at Solihull a broom handle was used to help with body alignment -(I kid you not) you need to visit your local hardware shop and ask for a Defender broom stick - make sure you specify it is for a 90, the 110 is not the same.

You also need the specify the imperial or metric broom handle depending on year of production?
![]() 5 months after starting the search I found it, and here is the details |

Can you undo totally one side of the hinges either off the door or where they screw into the body and fit the door so its latched and in position and then work on adjusting the hinges to see where the adustability is?
I've fitted a used door to mine before (not puma) and it took some ajusting but wasn't more than an hour to faff with before it worked. 1984 90 V8 puma want to be. |

I finally got it, well I think I have. I elongated the holes and cut plastic strips so I can use them as packers. The boss woman was sick last night so need help to tighten up the bolts and I should know then
school boy mistake at one stage last night, I had left the gas ram on the door and this was pushing the door over when the bolts were loose and I couldn't understand why i was making no progress ![]() ![]() ![]() Got a little side tracked as you do and I wasn't happy with the panel line up and shut lines so adjusted these also ![]() ![]() Click image to enlarge |
