Titanium wheel nuts
I’m fed up with replacing my black wheel nuts because get tarnished and manky looking so thought I may as well go the other way and try the shiny look with my black Bowler’s. Stainless is the obvious choice but I’ve noticed titanium is rapidly becoming the choice for many enthusiasts and they do look absolutely stunning. I found a specialist locally to make them from the correct grade 5 so no worries about dodgy mislabeled imported stuff that you see on eBay, and whilst not cheap I won’t need to sell a body organ. Which is nice. I have read some stories online about potential strength issue, galling/seizing etc. but not much evidence of it actually happening.
Are there any experts on here that can advise whether this is good idea and also if a specific anti-seize paste would be necessary? WARNING.

Gailing and seizing is common with stainless and Ti. Basically can never use an impact gun you could use a very light coat of ceratec and torque slightly over spec and check regularly.

Could just get your nuts painted properly, i redid mine a while back and buzz them on and off fairly often. Paints still acceptable. Instagram @defender_ventures

Probably (definitely) cheaper would be to look at a chemical process like cold blackening or parkerising - I've heard of this being done on wheelnuts for another marque and it gives a hard wearing finish that seems to hold up to corrosion / mankiness a lot better than painting.

You can buy kits with the chemicals or source your own...

I'd be interested to hear what improvement the titanium nuts do to acceleration and cornering.
I've also considered replacing the front light facia with carbon fibre to get the weight down.

I use the original wheel nuts on my black bowlers. Which is then complimented by the titanium drive flange bolts. Dirty yes, but no rust Whistle

Looks good mate. How long have the flange bolts been fitted for and have you tried to remove them yet? WARNING.
