That’s because most of them are wrapped in cotton wool in dehumidified heated garages!

I’m all for using and maintaining classics as designed. There’s a Classic Car specialist just down the road from me and he’s doing a roaring trade. He services and repairs classics. Daily driver seems to be Stag. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV

That Mitsubishi reminded me... I had one of those uncles, who wasn't really an uncle, just my Dad's mate. He always had to have the latest car to impress people, he wasn't a petrolhead at all which really annoyed me as I loved cars and I knew all about them and he couldn't even say what engine they had. Still, it was great when I got go in them as my Dad always had really boring cars at home.

One year he bought a new Mitsubishi 3000GT (same as the GTO above) and brought it straight to our house and took us out for a very memorable blast on the M62. Seemed like a spaceship with moving spoilers, 4-wheel steering and more buttons than the Enterprise. He sold it for an R34 Skyline GTR which he quickly got rid of because the suspension was too hard. Other cars he had that you never see anymore, Daimler Sovereign, Honda Prelude (the first 4ws one), Merc 300E, Toyota Celica GT4.

I know, "cool story bro Rolling Eyes ..." 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

last time i saw anything like that, would be very close to 30 years, when i was a kid. Thumbs Up i do remember seeing them and thinking that's odd. I know the sierra ones sometimes get the modded look, from the Cosworth era, but the stud pattern can be odd ball from what i read.

I bought a new MK2 ( Sierra ) P100 on a F plate 1989, about a couple years later i found the pinto engine lacking power so i finally ended up with a 2.8i V6 with a turbo fitted, that did the job nicely Mr. Green 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.

I feel the same as that, those sort of cars don’t do anything for me. Everyone has their likes and dislikes of course, but most cars are just a car to me.

I mean, what’s the point in 0-60 in xx seconds when there is no point on the public road anyway.

2wd is not exactly ideal either, when you are used to 4wd.

I wouldn’t mind test driving an Eco 9 MR (awd) but 4x4 and pickups etc etc do it for me. Even a nice big van you can at least do something with it like tow, carry goods etc but that’s work commercial not something you’d want all the time. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️
