Really?!? Hmmm, that’d be a new one on me! Never seen one fail being completely intact and in good shape.

Mine was brand new LR one, new seals. It leaked out every 6 months, gas would only last the summer.
They may appear to be in good condition but often arnt Instagram @defender_ventures Empire Tuning - Agent |

No leaks now, but could it be blocked internally?? 2010 Range Rover MkIII Autobiography Super Charged (Idris)

What pressures are you getting in the HP and LP lines with the compressor running and with it not running?

I don’t have those values. The compressor won’t engage… I’ll see if my guy has them recorded for not running and report back.

Ah, OK, I missed that bit in your original post.
So compressor works from Nanocom but not autonomously. Suggests that one or more of the switches involved is haywire. Let me ponder about this for a bit to see if I can come up with any ideas..... Curiously my TD5 Disco2 has been exhibiting odd A/C symptoms as well, but I am not sure how similar the two are. I have more or less understood how the Disco2 is supposed to work. |

Sounds like more of any electric issue. So its a 2000 and should therefor have the 'add on' AC module at your knees. The wiring diagram for that is easily attainable.
Unlike a really simple system there is an electronic thermostat through the controller and the engine ECU has some control over the Compressor and Fan too. Its a pretty simple system and you need to chase back the power supply check the relay functions and wire continuity. It could be the controller but most likely there is a relay or power supply fault. |

So I am able to make The AC run by bridging the relay wires with the relay removed. The wiring works as does the relay but the switches do nothing when the relay is put back in place. The blower works fine and the fan works as does the compressor when I bridge the wires. I’ve traced the wiring in the switch loom to the blower and temperature control switch and all is good.
If I can make it work by bridging the relay wires I suspect that it is not getting a signal from the engine and or trinary switch🤷♂️. Anyway anyone have any other ideas where to check?
