I had a leak in one of mine and it was easy enough to replace. The independent I used recommended replacing with new seals once removed. If refitting the existing one just make sure you do not damage the removed seal in any way.
Just remembered. When fitting the seals he smeared around the area with something on his finger. Cannot remember what it was but it was in a little tube. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel 1992 110 200tdi csw -Zikali 2008 110 2.4 tdci csw-Zulu 2011 110 2.4 tdci csw-Masai |

On my 2.2 I had to disconnect the inlet manifold and move it down 20mm to replace my glow plugs. I did not have room to fully remove it without removing more components so I just refitted it with existing seals and all has been ok.

Do you have to? Probably not. Is it a good idea? Yes. You are in there and there seals are cheap.
