I very nearly bought an imported P100 in the early 90’s it was a V6 2.3 I think? with a detachable camper on the back a mate was selling it, I took the misses up to have a look and her advise to me was unprintable I thought it would be a great 2nd vehicle, Tash definitely didn’t |

From wiki they did, to go in line with the mk4 cortina and again with the mk5. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it! |

The mechanical division of the M&E company I did my apprenticeship with had a Mk5 cortina P100 and then a Sierra based version. They were good vehicles as far as I can remember.
They also had a Maestro Van with a second row of seats which folded down to make it back into a van. We inherited the Sierra P100 and my colleague was 'given' it. One of older electricians borrowed it. We think he checked the oil, mis read the dipstick, and over filled the engine with oil. It caused a bit of a mess after it ejected the contents on a road. It got towed in, repaired and went on to serve many more years. The former was a pickup whereas the later had a truckman top. Neither were particularly well looked after, but never seemed to fail (except when over filled with oil ) |

last time i saw anything like that, would be very close to 30 years, when i was a kid. i do remember seeing them and thinking that's odd. I know the sierra ones sometimes get the modded look, from the Cosworth era, but the stud pattern can be odd ball from what i read. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

I have decided, I am getting old and I don't like change. I much prefer the look of cars from the last millennium.
In my street, there is a 90's Maserati Ghibli 2, coloured dark aqua metallic. I'd take that over any super car. @ Landy Andy, that Golf Mk2 looks fantastic. |

All my mates are going through the Menoporsche at the moment. Its seems that once you hit your mid fifties Porsche ownership becomes compulsory.
Nice as they are, they leave me cold. I like old school classics. I'm currently tempted by a 1967 E-Type, something else you don't see many of on the road .. Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy. |
