Immediate rejection of the car. You are still in your first 14 days.
Land Rover will never fix for good the problem and the dealer soon will be bored to be annoyed by you. |

Unfortunately it's a bit too late for that. I've had the car since 20th of September so it's about 45-days now. The main reason for me to take the car to a long distance was to see how much I can rely on it in summer as I am planning to take ~8.000 km journey with it. I am still trying to stay positive and hoping that it's simply a fuse or cabling issue. Soon I will see if I am just being too naive about this!

Don’t be naive. Get your lawyer to write an official mail of complaint, asking resolution and how long and compensation.
Land Rover only understand the Hard Way. This will put pressure on the dealer which is responsible for the Good sold to you. |

Thanks for the advice, I will definitely consider.
According to warranty conditions; If defects are identified after 30 days but within six months, the dealer typically has one opportunity to repair or replace the vehicle before you’re entitled to a refund. Beyond six months, the burden of proof shifts to the buyer to demonstrate that the defect existed at the time of purchase. (The Motor Ombudsman) Since the car will be diagnosed within a few weeks, I first want to see what they have to say! I think the first option they will force is "repair" which they seem to have the right for. If another defect happens second time within 6-months, I will definitely fight for replacement. |

These cars are pretty reliable, but if they are built wrong (or whatever occurred in your case) you will have gremlins for good. A new car is definitely the best option, especially since you will be able to own it with peace of mind and actually enjoy your car.
Good luck, and I'm really sorry that this is how your first Defender had to go for you. They have so much more to offer. |

Thank you for the good wishes. I also think something terribly wrong with the build because I've had issues with charging as well, I could successfully charge it perhaps only once in every 10 attempts!

A €167k for a D300 HSE?!
Gtfo with your tax regime. I though that paying £2300 ish was a take, but yours is just, I'm lacking for words. |

Denmark is worse and in France you pay a CO2 and HP penalty, but then what is 100k for a rich person.

Sorry to hear about your troubles.
I am in a similar situation. Took delivery of my 130 V8 p500 in mid September. After two days it started acting up. Got towed. LR "fixed" it after two weeks and delivered it to me again. Broke down after 2 days. With LR now since 5 weeks at least. It is easy for everyone to say reject the car bla bla. A bit different when you are in the situation of having waited 5 months for a car and a new one would be another 5 months and there is no equivalent car available. Hoping they can fix it. 2025 Defender 130 V8 2025 Defender 90 D250 (wifes) 2024 Defender 110 p400e HSE (sold) 2015 Defender 110 Double cab 2004 Defender 90 Td5 |
