New Defender 110 MY2025 died after 2000 Km
I am writing this post to share my experience with my new Defender 110 and how it failed (and perhaps potentially find answers to the issue) and my experience with Road Assistance, Dealership and Service so that I can help people experience without suffering what happens when your new Defender would not want to start.

October 26th - Started our journey from Amsterdam heading down to Koblenz/Germany with 800-km of milage on the car. 4+ hours of drive (~300-KM | ~200-miles) and I am so happy with it and I am saying to myself - what a car? so smooth and comfortable to drive, etc. (so I am quite happy at this moment)

October 27th - Left Koblenz for Salzburg/Austria (~650-KM | ~ 400-miles). another very comfortable and joyful journey of around 7+ hours. Still very happy. Stayed in Salzburg for 3 nights and I haven't used the car until I left for Hallstatt.

October 30th - Arrived at Hallstatt (a small town kind of in between Salzburg and Vienna). The milage on the car is now 1943-km (~1200-miles) Parked the car in an open air carpark, locked it and left for about 3-4 hours. Upon our arrival back to car things started to go south. I realized that instrument cluster was blacked out, buttons on the left of the steering column dimmed out although right side was ok. PiVi Pro was all good. We could luck/unlock the car, infotainment, interior/exterior lights were all ok - ONLY the car would not want to start. I asked my family to come out of the car, I locked it and got away from it like 20-30 meters, waited 10 minutes hoping the car would reset and come back online again - which never happened. After this I called Road Assistance, they were quite helpful checked a few things with me and once they confirmed that the car is not starting, they called their local partners in Austria and send a towing car for assistance. The technician that arrived was very helpful, he tried all the first-aid procedure he could perform, including checking the fuses, battery healthcheck and reset, etc. but didn't help unfortunately. One remarkable thing for me was; he tried to connect with OBD but could not. The connection attempt was unsuccessful. Then we agreed to call for a bigger tow car which was not available at that moment and agreed to meet tomorrow morning to tow the car back to Salzburg. LR Road Assistant service agreed that we stayed in a hotel near Hallstatt.

Ocotber 31th - We woke up early in the morning hoping that our car would be towed but that didn't happen because of JLR's partner's availability in that region (nothing to blame JLR for). After spending quite some time and making several calls with JLR, at around 16:00, towing company came by and they also checked a lot of things and at the end agreed that car should be taken to nearest dealer/service. Although protocol says to nearest dealer, together with JLR Road Assistance we agreed to have the car towed to second closest location being Salzburg (thanks to JLR for being flexible in this). Road Assistance also arranged us a transport to Salzburg and made a reservation for a rental in Salzburg immediately. So in general transport of the car to a service location took about 24-hours. One note on this; towing company seemed to be quite experienced with JLR cars and he said; this is the first time we are towing a new Defender.

November 1st - They called us that the car was checked by the dealer and problem seems to still persist. However, their engineer expertized in electronics was also on holiday and would be back on Monday (3-days later). At this point we mutually agreed that there is no point for us to wait in Salzburg given the circumstances. They offered us a rental car but I said that I didn't want to drive in some other car so they booked our flights back to Amsterdam.

November 4th - They called from the dealer and also from road assistance and provided feedback about our car so it was agreed to transport it back to Netherlands but they also informed me that it could take up to 15-days to have it in NL. Dealer also arranged a replacement car for me (Discovery Sport) to be ready to be picked up next day. They said they are also waiting the car impatiently because this is also something unexpected for new Defender.

November 5th - I picked up the replacement car from the dealer, they asked a few questions about what happened and talked about what the procedure now is, timelines etc.

So this is it for now...
When I hear more, I will share my updates here.

Immediate rejection of the car. You are still in your first 14 days.
Land Rover will never fix for good the problem and the dealer soon will be bored to be annoyed by you.

Unfortunately it's a bit too late for that. I've had the car since 20th of September so it's about 45-days now. The main reason for me to take the car to a long distance was to see how much I can rely on it in summer as I am planning to take ~8.000 km journey with it. I am still trying to stay positive and hoping that it's simply a fuse or cabling issue. Soon I will see if I am just being too naive about this!

Don’t be naive. Get your lawyer to write an official mail of complaint, asking resolution and how long and compensation.
Land Rover only understand the Hard Way.
This will put pressure on the dealer which is responsible for the Good sold to you.

Thanks for the advice, I will definitely consider.
According to warranty conditions;
If defects are identified after 30 days but within six months, the dealer typically has one opportunity to repair or replace the vehicle before you’re entitled to a refund. Beyond six months, the burden of proof shifts to the buyer to demonstrate that the defect existed at the time of purchase. (The Motor Ombudsman)

Since the car will be diagnosed within a few weeks, I first want to see what they have to say!

I think the first option they will force is "repair" which they seem to have the right for. If another defect happens second time within 6-months, I will definitely fight for replacement.

These cars are pretty reliable, but if they are built wrong (or whatever occurred in your case) you will have gremlins for good. A new car is definitely the best option, especially since you will be able to own it with peace of mind and actually enjoy your car.
Good luck, and I'm really sorry that this is how your first Defender had to go for you. They have so much more to offer.

Thank you for the good wishes. I also think something terribly wrong with the build because I've had issues with charging as well, I could successfully charge it perhaps only once in every 10 attempts!

Yes of course, almost every New Defender sold to Private persons in The Netherlands is a Tax free Plug in Hybride Very Happy

Look at BPM in the pricelist, you'll understand. ( Price in Euro, so 1,6x in aussie $ )

Denmark is worse and in France you pay a CO2 and HP penalty, but then what is 100k for a rich person.
