Do you really need the V8? The 3.0 diesel is all the engine you'll ever need and will do close to twice the MPG.

Stick to the 110. The boot is small anyway, the 90 non existent. If you’re planning trips you will want a 110. Also, the kids and front seat passenger will get fed up with access.
Also, in real world driving, you’ll not use the V8 as much as you think, nice as it is. You’ll also be surprised by the diesels performance! Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy. |

I would stick with a 110 until the kids have left home. Then get a 90.
I prefer petrol now that diesels have the dpf etc, but If you are stuck with diesel then just do some long runs every few weeks. Personally I like the tonka look of the 90. Less so the 110. Not sure if that helps! A nice choice anyway! |

Haven't driven a Diesel Defender (we don't get them over here) but my P400 110 is plenty quick. Cruises at 100mph on the highway no problem even with a bunch of nonsense bolted to the body.
The 110 is so small as it is, I couldn't imagine trying to shove my belongings into a 90 honestly. I've got a FJ Cruiser that has the clamshell doors on the side - and one of the reasons why we ended up with the 110 is because the backseats of the FJ are basically worthless because getting in and out is such a huge pain in the backside. 2022 Defender 110 SE P400 Tasman Blue Expedition and Cold weather package 2003 Hummer H1 P400 Firehouse Red 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser |

I’m biased towards the 90, I’m on my 3rd. I’ve also had a 110, but prefer the 90.
The 90 is pretty spacious in the back seats once in, I do carry passengers in the back frequently. The boot though can be an issue if you want to load it up for holidays, it’s fine for day to day use but is useless for anything more. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue |

I think the v8 prices will hold firm as the Octa version is serious money. I have the same v8 in my Ftype and it’s a mega engine and the noise is simply fantastic, tuned easily to 600hp and 586lbs torque.

You don't need to with the 3.0 diesel, it's been designed around the DPF and there's no issues been reported even when the vehicle is only used for short journeys. l've not read of a single DPF issue on the 3.0 |

You aren't the target market for the Octa and thats fine but there will be plenty who are, .its about choice The Octa has over 600 hp the G wagon amg has 577hp, And uf yiu have the old V8 but can get close to Octa performance and you fancied it then why not doesn't mean it handles like a sports car. |

Personally, if you can afford the V8, get it
It won’t be much longer until those kind of engines are dropped for good. You won’t loose much money even if you only keep it a year or so. Tick it off the list. 2008 2.4 110 Utility Station Wagon XS. |

A 90 V8 will have full electric seats. And the passenger seat has no manual override. It is painfully slow to move to allow rear seat passengers in and out with any regularity. They will complain quickly, especially if they are standing in the rain waiting for the seat to move.

When I saw the manual passenger seat , I thought it wasn't bad. Then I realised the higher spec cars get electric both sides.

24MY onward have manual passenger seat. My current HSE has 14 way electric seats but none for the passenger. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue
