Incase you don’t have the rack yet do yourself a favour and get something like Front runner. So much easier than the Land rover one.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’m in France for a few weeks anyway so looking for a good roof rack product that can be delivered to me here in France.
Please send a link for the front runner product. Do you know the width of the cross bars on that? Thanks |

You don't have to use the clamps. Bolt it direct to roof rack. Cheers

How do you bolt it exactly to the roof rack?

No Sherlock, lol
Sorr6 if my post sounded dumb but 8 was looking for a more useful reply. Tentbox say use their bracket below the cross bars so if not, how exactly are you fixing it? The Tentbox comes with a specific fixing kit so not that ovoid what you mean. Maybe a quick sketch or photo? Thanks |

When it comes to attaching large heavy objects with large amounts of windage - It might be prudent to follow the manufacturer's instructions when it comes to attaching it to your vehicle - for liability's sake if nothing else. 2022 Defender 110 SE P400 Tasman Blue Expedition and Cold weather package

I would of thought bolting a roof tent to a rack or set of rails was pretty self explanatory. I am not doing a diagram. I was offering a practical solution to your problem. I'll leave you to it. Cheers

Whatever attachment solution you end up with, do not drill through your rack. It will inevitably compromise the strength and could cause issues down the road.
I just measured my expedition rack and the interior bar width (inside the frame) is 43.5" which is about 1105mm 2022 Defender 110 SE P400 Tasman Blue Expedition and Cold weather package 2003 Hummer H1 P400 Firehouse Red 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser |

The TentBox clamps fit just fine to the OEM roof rack.
