Jeep or Defender?
I think the base D90 over here in the states starts at $57,000. The base model Wrangler starts at $35,000. Of course the Defender has many, many more features than the Wrangler. Tommy and Roman do a decent enough job talking about the differences between the base models. The whole point behind this video series that TFL is doing is to highlight the perils that Stellantis is in with their Jeep pricing - which has gotten truly ridiculous over the last 4 years. They can't sell Jeeps right now because - for the same money you can go buy a Land Rover. 2022 Defender 110 SE P400 Tasman Blue Expedition and Cold weather package 2003 Hummer H1 P400 Firehouse Red 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser |

Yet when it was first launched a base 90 was £40k, oh them were the days though I don’t think anyone got one at that price as Covid hit and the 90 was delayed until 21MY with a price increase. My current 90 is an HSE which for 24MY was the base diesel model I had this 90 off road at the Destination Defender event last year, it was Autocars long term test car, on coils, no fancy off road packs and it went everywhere the 110s on air went. Some sections needed a bit more planning due to the ground clearance but other than that it was like a little mountain goat. Click image to enlarge 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue |
