Its a bloody awful job but doable.
Thin spanners and lots of patience. best replace the nuts as they will be mauled. the oil pipe is usually very tight and caused the most problems when I did mine. when you tighten it up, run it to get it hot, let it cool and tighten again. awkward but doable, make sure you have some Ibuleave ready as it not a good job for your back. |

Thanks bowbearer good to know there is no specialised tools or anything. As mentioned the studs and nuts have recently been changed so I’m hoping it will all come off fine. As for the oil pipe it looks like a tight access point for the bottom but doable. From what I can see it threads into something that in turn threads into the block??? I assume if I hold the thing threaded into the block and just lever off to crack it free, just awful access.
As long as I can just take the turbo off on its Todd that works for me I think. |

It’s all coming off and out. Exhaust undone and whip the lot out, but thankfully I’m getting some help on it when I get the time. In the meantime I’ve done useless upgrades like an alloy filter housing with pipercross filter and also fitted some heated seat elements in a hope I won’t freeze this winter 🥶
