Resist the FOMO.

In a year, these Octa's will have depreciated more than 25% and you'll be able to snag them up at a reasonable price - with plenty of warranty remaining on the clock.

25% is a conservative guess... the BMW XM (basically the BMW version of the Octa) over here has depreciated 50% in 12 months. You can find XM's with barely any miles on them for half of what they sold for new. 2022 Defender 110 SE P400 Tasman Blue Expedition and Cold weather package

Isn't it the Merc G6 that is the main competition to the Octa ?

Where do all three sit in the pecking order ?

The XM was BMW's attempt to siphon sales from the AMG G-wagons believe it or not.

An effort that, at least over here, has failed dramatically.

Not sure if the Octa directly compares to it but that was BMW's intent. The transitory principle:

XM Competes with AMG G-Wagon. Octa Competes with AMG G-Wagon - therefore competes with XM.

I've only had two coffee's this morning so I may be mistaken Smile 2022 Defender 110 SE P400 Tasman Blue Expedition and Cold weather package

I would agree, for a few months if you get an allocation you may do ok. Supply & demand...

Once the you tubers the footballers and their wife's have had it and move on to the next 'thing' the loses will be huge...

As for it competing against the G class... in price maybe but not sure on quality of fit and finish or even brand 'snobbery' (is that a thing?)...

Its an odd one at the price point as inside its not too dissimilar to a £58K base van model.
