Has Ineos released sales figures for the Grenadier?

I was just wondering what 50% looks like?

Thanks Thumbs Up

I can only read a bit of it as it requires a subscription, but I get the idea from the first few lines.

Coincided with the £15,000 price increase. That was always going to hurt sales. Cheapest Grenadier now £65,000 and cheapest five seat version nearly £75,000

Out of reach for many. Can you afford to spend £75,000 on a vehicle?

I couldn’t imagine even considering spending £75K to buy a Grenadier. If I had £75K, I would not be buying either a Grenadier or a Defender. If the car you drive equals what you can afford to pay back each month either via a loan or PCP, good luck to you. You either have a lot more disposable income than me, you are less tight than me, or you are just going to be working until you are 80 Rolling with laughter

You're welcome.

To summarize :

Thé workers discovered that they're @ 1/3 of their objectives.
They stopped thé R&D of thé electric version.

https://www.lasemaine.fr/moselle-ineos-gre...obscurcit/

Everybody knows thar thé Defender L318 didn't reach objectives. Hère in France you have to pay a CO2 ans weighr tax of 40 000 bucks if you want to register a Grenadier (5 seater. Thé van (2seats) is exempt. In other countries you're also punished for high CO2 émissions

Big offroad véhicules represent a small market. They became toys for rich people.

I think Land Rover know about it.

Very few people actually need a 4x4 (that includes myself).

But I don’t need a dog - and somehow I have two of those Rolling with laughter

Not so much the retail price but the residuals that matter in a market place dominated by pcp. That’s why JLR manage to shift 114,000 Defenders last year, (I don’t recall the Classic Defender ever reaching 30,000/year) modern motor manufacturers are primarily finance houses - that’s where the real battle between the Grenadier and LR is

Grenadier 5000 units p.a. If production continues if not 3000 in 2024

New Def 114 000 units as you state. Could you honestly compare ?

I cannot imagine à battle. That would be thé suicide of INEOS. Their position is far too worse.

Is a Grenadier a tempting buy virtually new at around £50k which they seem to be near me from the local 'main' dealer - or will prices plummet further or become vehicle hard to maintain unless diy Confused Rob

Other seats are available, I am sure that even if Recaro's problems cannot be resolved an alternative will be found.

There must be other manufacturers using Recaro seats which now face a similar dilemma.

JLR have also mothballed too i think due to this too, we have got a contract for a new Back board for JLR's range rover, as i was one of the lads that did the trial run, and then made a stack load of two weeks ago. So i am suspecting the same for IENOS with another manufacture. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

I was told Jaguar have ceased production in their run up to becoming a car manufacturer who is trying to compete with Aston Martin.

Like Aston Martin is a financial success story to follow Rolling with laughter Now all they need is an American billionaire to bank roll them.
