2.4 tdci 2010 injectors tested & cleaned - recoding req'
Hi all

My 4x injectors have been removed & sent to a local shop (cheltenham diesel ltd) who just tested them & cleaned externally (shanks etc) he didn't seem to think tbey would need recoding - they will have been out of the vehicle for about 7 days by the time the vehicle is fired back up. Will they just run fine as before?

There was no known issues just the usually oil leak on the rocker from combustion gases passing the copper washers & then rubbers in the rocker cover. Hence replacing seal kit

If that is all that's been done to them no recoding will be necessary (in fact, no recoding will be possible unless he's tested and calibrated them and supplies you with new codes).

Also does anybody know If I'll likely need to bleed or prime any lines if I've had the injectors out of the engine for 1 week + blackened the pipe from the pump to the manifold/distribution rail?

Mine was out of action for over a week because one of the fuel pipes from rail to injector cracked and then all apart to change rocker cover gasket and clean seats out and all
I did was have it crank over enough times to pump fuel through to the injector until it started. I didn’t prime anything.
