Hi all,
I’m having an issue with the transfer mount on my 2008 Land Rover Defender Puma crew cab (DCPU). The original mounting bracket was stolen, so unfortunately, I don’t have it as a reference. I recently got a new mount plate and support, but when I tried to fit them, I noticed there’s a huge gap. Here’s a video that shows the problem: https://share.icloud.com/photos/011C6H62Xtltq5fvigFpWCYvA Some pics: Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge I’m wondering if this could be due to a difference in mounting plates between the crew cab (DCPU) and the station wagon models. Does anyone know if the DCPU uses a different mounting plate compared to the station wagon, or if there might be another explanation for the gap? Any help, advice, or experience with this issue would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance. |

There is no difference between the different variants, and every Puma Defender should have the same mounts. Offhand I can't explain the gap, but I am sorry to hear that it was stolen. What an odd thing to steal! |

No, just sourced the bracket used and it came with the mount, which seems in good condition. |

Very strange. Dont think you can get the mounts swapped left to right because of an orientation dowel.
I doubt if the pics in the below thread can shed any light. https://www.defender2.net/forum/post865316.html 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing 2012 90 CSW, 2.2TDCI, Santorini Black |

I am not with my Defender to check, but if I look at the mounts for sale on this ebay link, it seems like you have the wrong bracket.

I agree with Dinnu, the bracket you have been supplied with is not the correct bracket for a Puma.
I think you've been supplied with ANR2898, you should have been supplied with KQE500050 which looks like this. Note the relative positions of the holes to mount to the transfer box and the holes for the resilient mount, they are quite different to yours. |

Oh my. Seems like you’re right folks! It’s the flipping wrong bracket. Thank you so much for noticing!
The mount is the same, right? |

Yes, I believe that the mount is the same, just the bracket is different.
