Thanks for the response, I already have a plug connected to it, and if the ignition is on and I pull it in and out i can hear the solenoid click

Hi..I was going to say exactly as has been said as the lead does look fuel pump solenoid 🤣 Given that it's not and the work you mention doing is it possible that the fuel pump has been timed incorrectly relative to the valve timing..you do seem to have covered all the obvious .. It happened to me many years ago.. I couldn't get my car started after some work and it wasn't till I removed the valve cover that I noticed the spark was going to no 1 but the valves were open..🙄🤣 |

Thank you. I guess I will have to study some more and see how to time those two.
Loving the process of figuring out how to make this Rover run again. |

Feed and return lines on the right way?
When it cranks over what comes out the exhaust? Why did you change FiP? Diaphragm pin is free to move? Fuel delivery pin contacting Diaphragm pin correctly Did you purchase a complete reconditioned pump or have you added parts to it? Assuming physically fitted correctly and above works then look back at timing but sounds like you have checked all that already. Hi, Is it possible that the solenoid wire is the wrong one, i.e, power on when it should power off (or vice versa). Might explain the click but no start. Have you got diesel at the injectors?... |
