Still going - the old engine is now being stripped of the bits required to be put onto the new one.

Found that the heads are for an injection engine - not a surprise for the year as the 90 was the only non-injection V8 apart from some of the first discoverys

There was also jokes about VVT - look at the slack on that chain. I'm surprised as the mileage hadn't reached 130k. No wonder they say a cam refresh is worth doing at 100k.

The old engine is going to be kept with the car to retain a semblance of originality should it be necessary in the future. 90 V8 CSW - 1988

A bit of an update - it's in, but needs all the little bits doing. Bellhousing bolts, radiator, hoses, cables etc.

Turned out the carbs were showing signs of leaks so they're having a new gasket set fitted.

He's going to do transmission fluids as well, seeing as the engine will. be 'fresh'. Then an MoT and we're back on the road.

Looking like it'll be Jan for a return Mr. Green 90 V8 CSW - 1988
